Oak & Associates, LLC is a behavioral health multi-specialty group which consists of a growing and committed group of professionals and counselors dedicated to promoting the mental, emotional and social well-being of those in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. We provide treatment for children, adolescents, families and adults who have been diagnosed with a wide range of mental health disorders and relationship challenges.
We currently have Outpatient Therapists contractor positions available in Louisville, KY. We are looking for interns, newly licensed mental health professionals, and fully licensed practitioners to provide counseling, services for children, adolescents, and adults who are sex positive, LBGTQ+, Kink, polyamory and alternative lifestyle welcoming.
Job Responsibilities: The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for providing individual, family, and group counseling for clients in the outpatient programs of Oak & Associates, LLC. These services are provided in a professional office setting. There are occasions when Outpatient Counselors will be responsible for completing assessments in the home and in the community for clients in the Intensive-In-Home and Mental Health Skill Building Programs and/or conducting family therapy sessions as part of a team approach.
Skills & Knowledge: The Therapist must possess strong clinical writing and verbal communication skills, must have experience providing individual and family counseling and have experience working with persons with serious mental, emotional and/or behavioral disorders, substance use and/or co-occurring disorders. The Therapist must have experience and knowledge of crisis interventions and various therapeutic modalities. The Therapist must possess skills and knowledge of successful rapport building, treatment planning, group counseling, evidenced-based counseling practices, diagnostic criteria, and assessment completion. The Therapist must have knowledge of the impact of trauma on an individual’s functioning, and have experience working with diverse populations.
Job Requirements: The Outpatient Therapist Must be appropriately licensed or certified in the State of Kentucky and have a master’s degree in the behavioral sciences. An individual with a master’s degree who is on a licensure track and under the supervision of a licensed practitioner is acceptable (LPCA, Marriage and Family Therapy Associate. Candidates must also have a good understanding of clinical diagnoses and interventions to address mental health conditions. One year of pertinent experience is desired.
